The partnership between WWE & Dream Star Fighting Marigold continues to grow.

At Marigold’s Korakuen Hall show on June 11th, Rossy Ogawa revealed that Utami Hayashishita will be facing WWE’s IYO SKY at Marigold Summer Destiny on July 13th at Sumo Hall, with the two promotions reportedly believed to be working together moving forward.

Ahead of this Saturday’s Clash at the Castle PLE in Glasgow, Scotland, Cultaholic had the chance to speak to WWE Women’s Champion Bayley about WWE working with other promotions, to which she revealed that she’d love to have the chance to wrestle in Marigold.

“I would love to do something like that, Marigold. Rossy (Ogawa), I’m down, let me know. I’ve wrestled a couple times in Japan but with WWE. I got invited to go to Japan right before I signed but I couldn’t do it.”

Additionally, Dave Meltzer revealed in today’s issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the belief is that Marigold will run four major shows per year, with these being where the promotion will look to utilise WWE talent, although IYO SKY appears to be the only talent heading over on this occasion.

“I had heard earlier in the week that there might be other people coming from WWE to the show, but as far as the Marigold people know, it is only IYO coming from WWE on this first show. I think the basic battle plan for Marigold is four big shows a year at arenas like Sumo Hall. Those are the shows that they would like to get WWE talent. Her, Kairi Sane, the ones that Rossy gets along with. Asuka, no. Asuka hates Rossy, so she’ll never go there. But just get women’s talent from WWE on the big shows.”

-Dave Meltzer

Elsewhere on Marigold Summer Destiny, Giulia is set to take on former WWE Superstar Sareee, with several inaugural champions also expected to be crowned.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on WWE’s partnership with Marigold and the prospect of Bayley wrestling for the promotion as soon as we hear more.
