The Bloodline may be set to add to their ranks.

Former NJPW STRONG Openweight & IWGP Tag Team Champion Hikuleo’s contract with New Japan Pro Wrestling was reported earlier this year to be expiring at some point during 2024, and we now have a major update on his future.

Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam.net is now reporting that Hikuleo’s final date with NJPW came at Dominion on June 9th, with sources within the company of the belief that he’s WWE-bound.

“It was reported earlier this year that NJPW Star Hikuleo’s contract was set to expire sometime this year, and after last night’s NJPW Dominion event led many to believe he had finished up with the company. I can now confirm that is indeed the case, as Hikuleo’s final date with NJPW was June 9th, 2024 at Dominion. After speaking to sources within the company it also is believed that he is headed to WWE to presumably join his family in the current Bloodline story.”

At Dominion, Hikuleo teamed with El Phantasmo with their NJPW STRONG Openweight Tag Team Championship on the line in a four-way elimination match against IWGP Tag Team Champions Chase Owens & KENTA, TMDK, and Bishamon, with TMDK emerging victorious and claiming both sets of tag gold.

Hikuleo is the son of Haku, making the younger brother of Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa, and thus the expectation will be that the ‘Young Gun’ will link up with his former Guerrillas of Destiny stablemates as the newest member of The Bloodline.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on the future of Hikuleo as soon as we hear more.
