A major WWE officer is set to leave the company.

Since the formation of the TKO Group following WWE’s merger with the UFC & Endeavor, the company has undergone numerous changes, and it now appears as though another major corporate name is set to move on.

In today’s edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer revealed that WWE’s COO Brad Blum tendered his resignation this past Wednesday, although it’s currently unclear as to the reasoning behind this, as the report notes that he wasn’t forced out.

“Chief Operating Officer Brad Blum tendered his resignation on 5/1. We don’t know more details past this was his own decision and nobody forced him out. He, along with Nick Khan and Paul Levesque were considered the three most powerful officers in WWE.”

-Dave Meltzer

Blum started with WWE in 2006, serving as the company’s Chief of Staff for more than a decade while also serving in various leadership roles, most recently taking responsibility for WWE’s operations in early 2020.

In his role of overseeing Corporate Strategy, Marketing, Corporate Communications, Creative Services, IT & Technology, Insights & Analytics, Real Estate & Facilities, and Corporate Travel, Blum reported only to Nick Khan, underlining his importance within WWE’s corporate hierarchy.

Additionally, Blum was Corporate Officer No. 2 in the Janel Grant lawsuit, which stated that when McMahon met Grant, he set up a meeting with Blum, she met with Blum and the suit said he hardly asked any questions and hired her for a $75,000 year job in the legal department.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Brad Blum’s WWE resignation as soon as we hear more.
