In May of 2020, Michael Mansury officially departed WWE following a run that began in 2009 as a Production Assistant, before rising through the ranks as an Associate Producer, Producer, and then Managing Producer. In 2016, Mansury was promoted into a Vice President role, serving as the Director of record for numerous WWE PPVs and TV productions over the years.
It now appears as though Mansury is back in the pro-wrestling business, as PWInsider are reporting that he’s set to start as AEW’s Senior Vice President & Co-Executive Producer for this Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite.
“Michael Mansury, the former Vice President of Global Television Production for WWE, has been hired by AEW and will start at tomorrow’s AEW Dynamite taping. We are told he was backstage at the Full Gear PPV a few weeks back as well, but he is now officially with the company. Mansury’s official title is Senior Vice President & Co-Executive Producer for AEW.”

Prior to his WWE departure, Mansury was seen as a big part of the Triple H regime. Many within the company had dubbed Mansury the “next Kevin Dunn”, with the idea being that he’d eventually fill Dunn’s role, although this ultimately never came to be. The news of Mansury’s departure was said to have shocked the company at the time, as he was a valued member of the backstage team.
Since departing WWE in 2020, Mansury has worked as an Executive Producer for Pat McAfee, before moving on to become the Senior Vice President & Executive Producer – Global Production for the ONE Championship MMA promotion, a role he stepped down from last month.
Mansury recently updated his Twitter bio to confirm his new role, before sharing a tweet letting his followers know that he was back in the pro-wrestling game.
