The Blackpool Combat Club won’t be breaking up anytime soon if Bryan Danielson has his say.

Since forming in March of last year, the Blackpool Combat Club, consisting of Bryan Danielson, former AEW World Champion Jon Moxley, current ROH World Champion Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta, have been a dominant force across All Elite Wrestling, and despite recently coming up short in Blood & Guts against The Elite, Danielson has revealed that he hopes the group never breaks up.

Speaking recently to Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Danielson touched on the true bond that the Blackpool Combat Club members share. He claimed that they improve one another and that William Regal is still active in their group chat despite leaving AEW last year.

“Our connection as a group feels real. That’s because it is. The story is we train together and we make each other better. The reality is that wrestling together, we do make each other better. Even when Regal left, we didn’t break, and he’s still on our BCC group chat,”

Danielson continued by saying that he loves the BCC and that the band ought to be together forever. He also noted that there were no issues when he and fellow Blackpool Combat Club member Jon Moxley competed in the Grand Slam Tournament of Champions in the fall of 2022, proving that the group can still compete to be the best whilst maintaining their bond.

“I love his group. This should be a group that never breaks up. Mox and I have wrestled since the BCC started, we wrestled in the championship tournament [last fall]. That didn’t cause any disturbances in the BCC. That’s the story of the BCC. When the BCC loses, we’ll shake hands and go back to training the next day,”

Bryan Danielson has been out of in-ring action due to a fractured forearm that he suffered during his main event match against Kazuchika Okada at AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door, with the timetable for his return currently unclear.

In the meantime, the remaining members of the stable have recently been at odds with both Best Friends & The Lucha Bros, with Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli set to take on Rey Fenix and Penta El Zero Mierdo on tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite.
