Paul Heyman’s interruption of Bron Breakker’s SmackDown segment was reportedly no coincidence.
Bron Breakker is one of NXT’s hottest stars, and it won’t be long before we see him on WWE’s main roster. In recent weeks, we’ve seen him backstage with both Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis as Raw and SmackDown are being shown to be competing for his signature. Interestingly, last week’s edition of the blue brand saw Breakker’s conversation with Aldis cut short by the arrival of Paul Heyman, who complimented Bron before talking to the General Manager himself.
Per Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, this is no coincidence, as it was noted that the brief interaction between Heyman and Breakker is a potential tease for a future feud later down the line between Bron and Roman Reigns.
“It’s been noted with Heyman showing up in the Breakker segment on Smackdown and Breakker doing the “Best spear in the business” T-shirt and gimmick that this could be a subtle start for a program way down the line.”

As of yet, it’s not clear which brand Breakker will choose to sign with when he joins the main roster, so there’s no indication as to how soon we will see the pay-off of his interaction with Paul Heyman. Plus, the star has also recently won the NXT Tag Team Championships with Baron Corbin, so it’s safe to say that he isn’t completely finished with NXT just yet.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Bron Breakker and his future plans as soon as we hear more.
