There have reportedly been five WWE releases.
Last night, eyebrows were raised when former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal tweeted that he had ‘quit’ the company. Following this, it unfortunately came out that this was linked to the latest batch of WWE releases, and it seems as if a total of five names were let go from the company as a result of budget cuts within the last 24 hours.
Per Fightful Select, it’s reported that Jinder Mahal, Xia Li, Veer, Sanga, and Xyon Quinn have all been released by WWE, something which some of the talent have since confirmed themselves.
“Fightful Select can confirm that Xia Li, Jinder Mahal and Xyon Quinn have all been released by WWE. In an update, we’re told Veer and Sanga have been released as well.”

Shortly after the news, Mahal updated his X bio to say that he is a free agent in 90 days, suggested that he, and those released yesterday, can start competing again in three months’ time.
Xia Li, Veer, & Sanga have all additionally confirmed via X/Twitter that they are no longer with WWE.
Of course, we wish those released the best and hope they find their feet in the wider wrestling world when upon the expiration of their non-compete clauses.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on the recent WWE releases as soon as we hear more.
