Hardy’s time with AEW could come to an end sooner than anticipated.

After the conclusion of the main event of TNA’s Revolution pay-per-view on April 20th, Matt Hardy appeared following the expiration of his contract with AEW, with the deal having been extended through WrestleMania weekend after it originally expired in March.

Following Matt’s AEW departure and re-emergence in TNA, many fans have been speculating on the future of his brother Jeff Hardy. On this, Fightful Select are now reporting that despite belief that Jeff’s deal had originally been extended into 2025, this was not the case as of last month, with his deal believed to expire in the spring barring an extension from AEW.

“Originally, it was believed that AEW had extended Jeff Hardy’s deal into 2025 due to injury and sabbatical time. As of late March, that wasn’t the case. At that period, Hardy’s deal was set to expire sometime in the Spring, based on what Jeff Hardy told other talent at recent conventions. AEW could likely extend the time on the deal.”

When Jeff Hardy signed with All Elite Wrestling in March 2022, Fightful reported that it was done in a way that Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy’s deals matched up. This, evidently, is no longer the case, however it seems as though the pair are unlikely to be too far off.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on the future of Jeff Hardy as soon as we hear more.
