Garcia may be in AEW for just three more months.

In January, Daniel Garcia revealed that 2024 is a contract year for him, and questions over his status have been raised once again in the past few days. Now, there’s been an update on his contract length and what those around him are expecting for his future.

Per Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, while it’s unknown as to whether he’s now re-signed, it’s believed that Garcia’s initial contract with All Elite Wrestling has an October expiry date, and those who know him don’t expect him to leave the company.

“Daniel Garcia’s contract is up in October, unless he just signed. Those we’ve asked about it who know him don’t expect him to be leaving.”

Garcia’s future is still yet to be confirmed, although eyebrows were raised when he was viciously attacked to end this week’s AEW Dynamite, perhaps giving the company room to book around the idea that he may not be with the company in a few months, while also leaving the door open for an emphatic return if he does renew terms.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Daniel Garcia’s AEW status as soon as we hear more.
