We may soon see the last of AEW Rampage.

With the future of AEW’s media rights dominating the headlines at present, the latest updates indicate that a deal is potentially close to being announced which will see the continuation of their relationship with Warner Bros. Discovery. Now, reports have emerged regarding the future of AEW’s programming and a show which may not be present for the company going forward.

Per Dave Meltzer on F4WOnline, it’s believed that Rampage may not be continued as part of the new WBD deal. In its place, AEW’s third show would likely be ‘Shockwave’ as the term was recently trademarked by the company.

“Another source indicated to us this past week that Rampage would not be continued, and that the third show, likely called AEW Shockwave given AEW just filed for a trademark for that term, would be the show being shopped around to FOX and likely others.”

With a life span of just over three years, Rampage has played host to a selection of some of AEW’s biggest moments, such as CM Punk’s debut in 2021. As yet, it’s unclear what form Shockwave will take, nor do we know which platforms are leading the way to acquire the company’s next show.

The report also notes that MAX is set to be part of the PPV package when it comes to WBD’s new deal with AEW, although little is known on the details of this at present.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on the future of AEW Rampage as soon as we hear more.
