The return of Adam Cole may not be far away.

At AEW Grand Slam 2023, Adam Cole suffered an ankle injury which has so far kept him out of action for over a year. The 35-year-old was last seen on the receiving end of a Brainbuster from MJF at this year’s Double or Nothing, and was believed to have been backstage at All Out 2024, but little was known about his condition. Now, an update has emerged suggesting AEW are optimistic about his future.

Per Fightful Select, it’s believed that AEW are hopeful of having Adam Cole back in the mix sooner rather than later, with it said that the wheels have already been put in motion for his on-screen return.

“Fightful Select has learned that word backstage within All Elite Wrestling is that they’re hopeful and even expecting to get Adam Cole back sooner than later, and that wheels have already been put in motion to prepare for that on-screen.

As of now, there’s no indication as to exactly when Cole will be on the active All Elite Wrestling roster, but it appears as if fans may not have to wait much longer to see him make a return to our screens.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Adam Cole’s injury status as soon as we hear more.
