AEW have signed a new deal with Warner Bros. Discovery.

The future of AEW’s media rights has dominated the headlines for the last few months, and, particularly in recent weeks, speculation mounted over whether their relationship would continue with Warner Bros. Discovery. However, the talk was seemingly put to bed when Variety reported earlier today that All Elite Wrestling had reached an agreement on a new media rights deal with WBD believed to be worth upwards of $150 million a year, and it seems their partnership is continuing.

Confirmed in a press release, a new agreement between All Elite Wrestling and Warner Bros. Discovery has officially been reached. In the joint statement, CEO and Chairman of U.S. Networks at WBD Kathleen Finch praised the relationship between the two companies which led to the new deal.

“Tony Khan and the entire AEW team have been incredible partners, and we are thrilled to strike this expanded agreement to deliver amazing new AEW content and stories to TNT and TBS, as well as bring the thrilling live action to Max for the first time. We are focused on creating fresh and authentic experiences for AEW’s passionate and engaged fanbase while also introducing them to our growing lineup of high-action sports and entertainment at TNT and beyond.”

Tony Khan also expressed his excitement for the new deal, and thanked those who made it possible.

“We are honored to announce the extension of our incredible partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery. This extension continues the tradition of iconic wrestling events broadcast on TBS and TNT, while also establishing a new legacy for AEW through weekly live streams on Max for years to come.  We thank David Zaslav, Kathleen Finch and everyone at WBD for their tireless support of All Elite Wrestling since its inception, as well as the AEW fans, talent and staff that helped make this possible.”

As for the details of the new deal, it’s confirmed that AEW Dynamite will stay on TBS, while Collision remains on TNT. It’s also noted that both of the company’s weekly shows will simulcast on MAX in January, and that pay-per-views will be available on the streaming service later next year at a discounted price per event.

The news comes as All Elite Wrestling gear up for the 5th anniversary of Dynamite. Airing tonight, the show features Ricochet challenging Will Ospreay for the International Championship, the third instalment of Bryan Danielson vs Kazuchika Okada and more.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on AEW’s new deal with Warner Bros. Discovery as soon as we hear more.
