Powerhouse Hobbs is ready to return.

On the April 24 edition of AEW Dynamite, Powerhouse Hobbs wrestled then IWGP World Heavyweight Championship Jon Moxley with the gold on the line. However, the challenger unfortunately didn’t emerge from the match unscathed, as Hobbs sustained a knee injury during a collision with the turnbuckle. Now, a positive update suggests that the 33-year-old could be back on our screens soon.

While appearing on In The Kliq, Powerhouse Hobbs confirmed that he had now recovered from his knee injury and can now return to AEW.

“Ruptured my patellar tendon. A pretty gruesome injury. Me being me, I’ve been cleared. Healed up pretty fast. Got that Wolverine serum in me a little bit. I’m cleared. I’m back. It’s already been put out in the internet world that I’m cleared. Time to pick up where I left off,”

While he’s now medically cleared, it’s not currently clear when Powerhouse Hobbs will rejoin the fold in AEW. In October 2023, Hobbs officially joined the Don Callis Family, and fans will be intrigued to see whether the former TNT Champion sticks with the stable upon his return.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Powerhouse Hobbs’ AEW return as soon as we hear more.
