ROH may be broadcast on TV in the near future.

On the October 23 edition of AEW Dynamite, Chris Jericho defeated Mark Briscoe in Ladder War to win the ROH World Championship, beginning his second reign with the title. This prompted speculation over whether the switch was made to aid a possible Ring Of Honor TV deal, with Jericho marketed as the face of the brand. Now, an update has emerged on the possibility of ROH being brought to TV.

Per Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it’s believed that negotiations are now close for an ROH TV deal.

“We do know negotiations are close for an ROH deal.”

When it comes where ROH TV could potentially be shown, it’s noted that TruTV has long been the rumoured destination due to their need for content as they look to switch to being a sports channel in prime time. However, whether a deal gets over the line, and what it looks like, remains to be seen.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on a potential Ring Of Honor TV deal as soon as we hear more.
