At AEW All In this August, it was announced that the company’s next venture into London will see them bring Forbidden Door to the UK in 2025. At the time, we learned that it would take place on August 24, but fans weren’t told which specific venue it would be in. Now, we know which location is most likely and why it hasn’t yet been announced.

Per Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the expectation is for AEW to win Forbidden Door at the O2 Arena in August, but, with WWE hosting episodes of RAW and SmackDown there in March, they may not be able to announce the pay-per-view’s venue until the spring.

“The expectation has been that AEW is running Forbidden Door at the O2 Arena next year in August, but haven’t been able to announce the arena. Most likely this is the reason and thus AEW won’t be able to announce the arena or put tickets on sale until sometime after the end of March, depending on what the specifics were for the WWE deal.”

With nine months left to go, there is plenty of time for anticipation to build towards the Forbidden Door show next August. Given that it will likely involve stars from CMLL and STARDOM, as well as AEW and NJPW, excitement is already high for the annual crossover show.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Forbidden Door 2025 as soon as we hear more.
