The return has already caused a stir on social media.
On June 25th, 2020, Tessa Blanchard’s IMPACT Wrestling contract was terminated just five days before it was set to expire. Blanchard was the reigning Impact World Champion at the time, although significant controversy outside of the ring led to the two parties parting ways.
Now, over four years later, Dave Meltzer reported in today’s edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Blanchard is believed to be signing with TNA.
“The belief is that Tessa Blanchard has signed with TNA, which explains her not being in CMLL the last few weeks.”

Tessa Blanchard faced significant controversy in 2020 after multiple female wrestlers came forward with bullying and racism allegations against her, including an incident involving Blanchard spitting in a black woman’s face and calling her a racial slur, allegations which Blanchard has denied.
Blanchard continued to compete for Women of Wrestling until a falling out with the company’s management in 2022 and has most recently been competing for CMLL since October of last year, although her time with the Mexican promotion now appears to have come to an end.
Multiple outlets have since corroborated the news of Blanchard’s impending return, with PWInsider adding that she’s set to be part of TNA’s Final Resolution weekend.
“Tessa Blanchard flew into Atlanta yesterday and will be part of TNA’s Final Resolution weekend PPV and TV taping.”

Additionally, Fightful Select‘s Sean Ross Sapp reported that there was a lot of talent that got word that Blanchard was signing with TNA this week, athough higher ups and others claimed they didn’t know when asked.
Furthermore, Sapp notes that Jordynne Grace has pushed back against working with Blanchard, whilst Fightful Select’s full report reveals that the former Impact World Champion is set to work against Grace and win after returning as a heel.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Tessa Blanchard’s impending TNA return as soon as we hear more.
