WRESTLEPURISTS AWARDS 2024: RESULTS

The 2024 WrestlePurists Awards mark the third edition of our annual celebration of the very best in professional wrestling. This year, we continue our tradition of recognizing the standout performers, matches, and moments that defined the wrestling landscape in 2024. The winners have been determined through a combination of fan votes, media & critics input, and even some insight from wrestlers themselves.

How Are The Winners Decided?

Our nomination process began with a series of tweets inviting our followers and the wider wrestling community to submit names in the replies. The most frequently suggested names—provided they had a strong case—were selected to form the final shortlist of nominees.

From there, we conducted polls where fans could vote for their top choices. In addition to fan voting, we reached out to media members, wrestling talent, and industry critics to gather their selections as well. Fan voting officially closed on January 11.

The final results are determined by a combined percentage of votes across all groups—fans, talent, media, and critics. However, for Wrestler of the Year, we’re presenting three separate awards:

• Fans’ Wrestler of the Year – Chosen solely by fan votes.

• Media/Critics’ Wrestler of the Year – Selected by media members and critics.

• Overall Wrestler of the Year – Based on the combined percentage of votes from all groups.
