More is known about the plans for WWE EVOLVE.
On February 3, WWE EVOLVE was officially announced as the company’s newest brand, with the goal of featuring prospects who haven’t yet made it to NXT. The debut episode is set to air on Tubi on March 5 and comes around five years after WWE acquired the independent promotion of the same name. Now, an update has emerged on the plans for the show, including its broadcast venue and who’s set to book the show.
Per Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it’s believed that WWE EVOLVE will be booked by Gabe Sapolsky, the founder of the former EVOLVE independent promotion, and will take place at the Performance Center.
“The show will be from the Performance Center and will be Gabe Sapolsky booking a show that will involve talent training there who aren’t regularly featured on NXT television.”
-Dave Meltzer
Tapings for WWE EVOLVE are believed to be taking place well in advance of each episode’s planned airing, with the first episodes being filmed this week despite the debut not being for just under four weeks. As yet, there’s no official word on who is set to compete on the first few shows, but it’s likely that this is where viewers will get the first official look at some of the WWE ID talent.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on WWE EVOLVE as soon as we hear more.
