The former IWGP Jr Heavyweight Tag Team Champion is garnering plenty of interest.

Earlier this week, Fightful Select revealed that Kevin Knight, who was reported to now be a free agent following his NJPW contract expiring in January, had spoken to Tony Khan but was also interested in weighing up his options with WWE.

It now appears as though said WWE option could present itself, as in today’s edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer revealed that Knight is the subject of “lots of talk” within the industry regarding a potential move to WWE.

“Lots of talk regarding Kevin Knight here [in WWE]. We haven’t heard he signed but only it’s something being talked about within the industry.”

-Dave Meltzer

Knight, 28, is a former two-time IWGP Jr Heavyweight Tag Team Champion as part of the Intergalactic Jet Setters alongside KUSHIDA, who WWE fans will remember for his three-year spell in NXT.

With many AEW fans also hoping to see the company make a move to bring Knight into the prompting, potentially as the newest member of The Hurt Syndicate, it’ll be interesting to see who wins the race for his signature.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on the future of Kevin Knight as soon as we hear more.
