The latest on Chris Jericho’s status has emerged.
Chris Jericho has been absent from the AEW ring since April 6’s Dynasty pay-per-view, and, after the 54-year-old liked an Instagram post earlier this week which suggested he should return to WWE, speculation began regarding his future. Reports have since indicated that Jericho’s All Elite Wrestling contract is set to expire towards the end of this year, and now an update has emerged on his status, including whether he’s been discussed in WWE creative.
Per Fightful Select, it’s believed that, while Chris Jericho does have months left on his current deal, there’s no indication that any AEW plans are on the horizon for the former ROH World Champion.
It was noted to us that regardless, Jericho is signed through 2025, and has a number of months left on his deal. We haven’t heard of any creative discussions regarding Jericho in All Elite Wrestling of late, but also Jericho tends to speak with Tony Khan directly regarding his creative.

As far as WWE go, a source in the company noted to Fightful that Jericho’s name also hasn’t come up in creative meetings, describing the situation as ‘too early to tell’.
“WWE sources that we spoke to said that Jericho’s name hasn’t come up whatsoever around the creative process, so if conversations have happened regarding him internally, it wasn’t in that department. One source in the company called the situation far too early to tell, because WWE doesn’t seem sure what Jericho’s status will be in the coming months.”

As of writing, Jericho’s next AEW appearance remains unconfirmed. As such, rumours regarding his future are likely to continue into the coming weeks and months, particularly if his contract status remains as it is towards the end of the year.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Chris Jericho’s future as soon as we hear more.
