A major AEW star is edging closer to an in-ring return.
Orange Cassidy has been out of action for the past five months after suffering a suspected torn labrum, an issue that reportedly affected AEW’s creative plans throughout the spring.
Earlier today, BodySlam.net reported that Cassidy is now cleared to return to the ring and is awaiting creative plans, and Fightful Select have now provided an update of their own, noting that the Conglomeration member is expected to return “sooner than later.”
“Fightful Select has learned that Orange Cassidy is on the mend, and we were told he’ll be back “sooner than later,” when we asked for an update. He’s not expected to be out through the end of the year like many other injuries, unless there’s a big setback.”

The report additionally highlighted that Orange Cassidy has been backstage at several AEW events as of late and underwent shoulder surgery shortly after the injury.
Cassidy last competed inside an AEW ring during the March 19th episode of AEW Dynamite, and with both Will Ospreay and Swerve Strickland seemingly set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines, his return would be a major boost for the promotion heading into the tail end of 2025.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Orange Cassidy’s injury status and creative plans for his return as soon as we hear more.
