HOOK has new music.
On the August 27 edition of AEW Dynamite, HOOK made his first appearance for All Elite Wrestling since April 9, having spent time recovering from a concussion. However, upon his return to TV something was immediately different about his presentation. Instead of ‘The Chairman’s Intent’ by Action Bronson blasting throughout the arena, fans instead heard ‘So Tell The Girls That I Am Back In Town’ by Jay-Jay Johanson, signalling a major change for the second-generation wrestler. Now, an update has emerged on why HOOK changed his theme.
Per Fightful Select, it’s believed that Action Bronson taking shots at AEW’s environment didn’t sit well with many in the promotion. Despite things being patched between Bronson and AEW, the decision was already made to move on from the song.
“Last year, Action Bronson took shots at the AEW environment, which definitely didn’t sit well with a number of people in All Elite Wrestling. However, we’re told by at least one person that things seemingly were smoothed over at some point. But the decision was actually made by then to move on to a different theme for Hook.”

The report also recalls HOOK ditching the theme much sooner than many of us realised, with AEW instead choosing to have the young star appear without his music playing or as part of others’ entrances after the rights to his initial theme expired.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on HOOK’s new theme song as soon as we hear more.
