‘The Final Boss’ could be headed to Saudi Arabia in 2027.

On September 10th, multiple reports confirmed a press release accidentally leaked ahead of time revealing that WrestleMania 43 would be coming to Saudi Arabia in 2027, and it appears that all parties are intent on stacking said event.

Dave Meltzer revealed earlier today within the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that negotiations close to being finalised for Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson to be involved with the event according to the Saudi Arabian GEA.

“Those in Saudi Arabia close to the General Entertainment Authority, headed by Alalshikh, confirmed this week that the show is official and they claimed negotiations for Dwayne Johnson were advancing and they believed the deal was close to being finalized. We have not been able to confirm any of this with those in WWE, which would be involved in the talks. The impression is that the final payment number for the show will be affected by whether or not they get The Rock in the main event. The idea is that the individual payoff for Johnson would be multiple times that of any pro wrestler for any event in history.”

As for what The Rock’s plans for the show may be, Meltzer added that Saudi Arabia are pushing for the Hollywood megastar to face either Cody Rhodes or Roman Reigns in the main event.

“It was also noted with that deal being completed that Saudi Arabia was pushing for a main event of The Rock against either Cody Rhodes or Roman Reigns.”

Whether or not these plans come to fruition remains to be seen, but it’s clear that both WWE and Saudi Arabia are intent on bringing the biggest stars in the industry to WrestleMania 43 in 2027.

Elsewhere within the Wrestling Observer, Meltzer revealed that Stone Cold Steve Austin has also been talked about for WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia, which you can read more about here.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on plans for The Rock to be at WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia as soon as we hear more.
