Adam Copeland discusses the ideal place for his retirement match.

In 2011, Adam ‘Edge’ Copeland was forced to retire from wrestling due to injury. Thankfully, around nine years later, the now 51-year-old was able to make a stunning return to the ring, and he now finds himself a member of the AEW roster. Still a key part of programming, there’s been no indication that Copeland is looking to step away from competition anytime soon, though he’s now offered some insight into where he might like his retirement to take place when the time comes.

Speaking to the Toronto Sun, Copeland said he’s not sure exactly how he wants his last run to go, but he’s keen to have his final match in Toronto.

“I honestly don’t know (how I want my retirement road to pan out). I have the luxury, I guess, of having one retirement under my belt, and that was a very emotional one… it was an amazing send-off, right? So, this one, I’m not that concerned with how it goes. Would I like for it to be in Toronto? Yeah. I think that would be fitting to try and do it as close as I could to the place that I started it which is Monarch Park. I think a plane crashed there the other day or something. But, it’d be nice to end it in Toronto. Beyond that, I haven’t put a whole lot of thought into it. That would be my only hope; would be that it’s in Toronto.”

Toronto plays host to AEW All Out this weekend, and Copeland, along with Christian Cage, is set to play a major role. The reunited duo will take on FTR in one of the most anticipated matches of the show.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Adam Copeland as soon as we hear more.
