The WWE Hall of Famer has shed light on McMahon’s recent celebrations.

Several high-profile WWE names, past and present, reportedly attended the controversial former Chairman’s 80th birthday celebration in August, with guests including The Undertaker, John Cena, Jerry Lawler, and Sgt. Slaughter.

In a recent interview with Bill Apter of Sportskeeda, Slaughter revealed that no one was allowed to have a cell phone at the event.

“We all sat down to have our dinners, and the New York Symphony was playing when we got there. When we got there, we could hear the orchestra, but we couldn’t see them because they had it curtained off, and all of a sudden a curtain opened up, and there was Vince on the stage, and he said, ‘Welcome to my 80th birthday party. Come down and join me, and let’s have some fun,’” he recalled. “We all made our way down to the pit there where our tables were, and it was magnificent. It was the most incredible scene, but nobody was allowed to have cell phones. You either had to leave them in your room or check them at the door when you came in. If you needed to call someone, you had to go outside and do it. Nobody was allowed to take pictures. They had cameras there for their purposes, but nobody was allowed to have a cell phone out.”

Vince McMahon was sued in January 2024 by former WWE employee Janel Grant, with the lawsuit also naming WWE and John Laurinaitis. The filing accuses McMahon of sexual assault and sex trafficking. McMahon resigned from TKO/WWE after the lawsuit was filed, while Laurinaitis has since been dropped from the case. The lawsuit remains active.

According to PWInsider, additional WWE names in attendance at McMahon’s 80th birthday party included Michelle McCool, Kane, Gerald Brisco, Sheamus, Bruce Prichard, JBL, Shane McMahon, and Ron Killings, whilst The Miz, Maryse, Titus O’Neil, and Drew McIntyre were also photographed at the event.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on WWE names’ presence at Vince McMahon’s 80th birthday party and his ongoing lawsuit as soon as we hear more.
