The Miz recalls once being an outsider like Logan Paul.
As an outsider to the industry, many fans weren’t keen to see Logan Paul take to pro wrestling in 2022. However, after surprising many viewers with his performances in the ring, the controversial social media star now has 24 matches under his belt and is even a former United States Champion. With his presence in WWE growing, a former WWE Champion has drawn similarities between Paul’s time with the company and his own.
Speaking on the No-Contest Wrestling podcast, The Miz expressed how Logan Paul will need to continue to prove himself in the ring if he’s to become a true mainstay in WWE.
“I mean, look what Logan Paul’s doing right now. He’s an outsider, right? Who was the first outsider? Who was the first person that came into this industry and literally nobody wanted because, let’s face it, we’re a pact here. We’re a family here in wrestling, and nobody comes into our family just to be a 15 minutes of fame. We want to see if you want to earn it. We want to see if you are a mainstay. You’re going to be here. You have the love for this business. So I had to prove myself to everyone and continue to prove myself to just like Logan Paul is going to continue to have to prove himself each and every time he goes out into that ring.”
-The Miz
The Miz was part of Logan Paul’s first two matches in WWE, teaming alongside the social media influencer at WrestleMania 38, and then battling him in his first singles match at SummerSlam 2022. Most recently, Paul was part of John Cena’s retirement tour, losing to the 17-time world champion at Clash In Paris.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Logan Paul as soon as we hear more.
