The NXT Women’s Champion hailed Ripley as one of the best to ever do it.

At NXT Homecoming on September 16, Jacy Jayne teamed with her Fatal Influence partners Fallon Henley and Jazmyn Nyx in a losing effort against former NXT Women’s Champions Rhea Ripley, Stephanie Vaquer, and Lyra Valkyria.

Speaking to Good Karma Wrestling, Jayne admitted that stepping into the ring with Rhea Ripley left her feeling intimidated, praising the former two-time Women’s World Champion as an all-time great.

“I’m not going to lie, standing across the ring from her was very intimidating. I don’t say that very often. I rarely get intimidated with people, but I was definitely intimidated by her. She has such a high impact presence to her. The second she comes out, you know everyone is focused on her. She just grabs your attention and you can’t look away. She is great at what she does. I think she’s one of the best to ever do it.”

Jacy Jayne will put her NXT Women’s Championship on the line against Lola Vice at NXT No Mercy on Saturday, September 27, at the FTL War Memorial in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

She is also expected to pursue additional recruits for Fatal Influence in the coming weeks, as reports earlier today confirmed that Jazmyn Nyx will be leaving WWE when her contract expires. You can read more about that here.

In terms of Ripley’s current direction, she now finds herself aligned with IYO SKY following the Kabuki Warrior’s shocking heel turn on this past Monday’s episode of RAW.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on future plans for Rhea Ripley and Jacy Jayne as soon as we hear more.
