‘The Samoan Werewolf’ is set for a return.

Since falling short in his bid to reclaim the United States Championship from Solo Sikoa in a steel cage match at SummerSlam, Jacob Fatu has been largely absent from WWE TV, appearing only in a handful of post-SmackDown dark matches in recent weeks.

That absence looks set to come to an end imminently, however, as Dave Meltzer revealed within the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Fatu’s return is on the horizon.

“Jacob Fatu will be back imminently.”

During Fatu’s absence, Solo Sikoa has dropped the United States Championship to Sami Zayn, while Fatu’s cousins The Usos have reunited in a bid to bring down The Vision.

Tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown is set to take place at the Kia Forum in Orlando, Florida, with the stage potentially set for Jacob Fatu’s return to the blue brand.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on future plans for Jacob Fatu as soon as we hear more.
