The former Hurt Business member has put pen to paper with TNA.

TNA Wrestling has long shifted its stance on using contracted versus non-contracted talent, but for Cedric Alexander, who debuted with the promotion this past June, that no longer seems to be an issue.

According to Fightful Select, Cedric Alexander is officially under contract with TNA Wrestling, clearing up previous uncertainty over whether he had been working without a deal.

“Fightful Select has confirmed that Cedric Alexander is under contract to TNA Wrestling. He’s been appearing on their programming for a number of months, but until now there was no confirmation he was under contract with the company.”

The report adds that the length of Alexander’s deal remains unknown, while several other talents are currently working without contracts.

Since being released by WWE on February 7 earlier this year, many fans have speculated that Alexander could reunite with MVP, Bobby Lashley, and Shelton Benjamin in AEW by joining The Hurt Syndicate, although it appears as though those theories can now be put to rest.

Alexander appeared on this past Tuesday’s episode of NXT, joining fellow TNA stars in an invasion during the main event between Oba Femi and Trick Williams, sparking an all-out brawl with members of the NXT roster.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Cedric Alexander’s contract status as soon as we hear more.
