The former New Day member has heaped praise on one of RAW’s hottest storylines.
On the September 22 edition of RAW, Asuka and Kairi Sane attacked Rhea Ripley after weeks of tension, leaving IYO SKY caught between ‘The Eradicator’ and The Kabuki Warriors. The angle has quickly become one of the highlights of WWE’s flagship show, and now a former tag team champion has offered high praise for those involved.
On the RAW Recap, Big E called the storyline between IYO SKY, Rhea Ripley, Asuka, and Kairi Sane the most compelling in WWE today.
“Look, this is for me, this is the most compelling story we have in WWE right now. This is the one that I’m riveted to, this is the one that I’m paying attention to. We’re talking about a lot of history with these women. I think Asuka doesn’t get enough credit for opening the door to all these incredible performers from Japan showing that, hey, there could be a home here for you in WWE. I’m not sure we get IYO SKY without Asuka. I’m not sure that we get Kairi without Asuka. Look, to see how long we’ve had Asuka under the WWE umbrella to know she had an amazing career as kind of before she got to WWE. Now to see she still got it to see her in a singles match last week. She is still an incredible performer. She hasn’t lost a step. It seems I’m really, really excited for this tag team match.”

Big E also highlighted the upcoming tag team clash at Crown Jewel: Perth on October 11, taking place in Ripley’s home country of Australia.
Elsewhere on the Crown Jewel: Perth card, fans will see one final showdown between John Cena and AJ Styles, with the latter recently announcing plans to retire in 2026. You can read more about that here.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on the storyline pitting IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley against The Kabuki Warriors as soon as we hear more.
