WWE could be doing more with ‘The Samoan Werewolf’ according to Rikishi.
Since joining WWE in 2024, Jacob Fatu has captured both the WWE Tag Team and United States Championships, though many believe the 33-year-old’s in-ring performances deserve even greater opportunities.
One of those believers is WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi, who gave his honest thoughts on WWE’s usage of nephew thus far during a recent episode of Rikishi Fatu Off The Top.
“A lot of people say, ‘What happened to Jacob?’ I don’t know. Jacob come out, he’s steaming, they got everything behind him. They’re just lighting this kid up on fire. Everything they threw at this kid, he came correct. He stand on business and all of a sudden, poof, like a Houdini move. I’ve always said this from the beginning that if you book Jacob with the right people, you gonna get money out this kid here because the thing that he does in the ring, man. I still don’t think that they have booked him with the right people and lit gasoline up behind him to really push this thing to make it work. It’s just been this little tease. We see Jacob’s skills. We see his talent. We see his popularity just catching on fire. But there’s still not… you know what I mean?”

Always a vocal advocate for his fellow Anoa’i family members being well-represented on WWE television, Fatu would also criticise the booking of Solo Sikoa’s United States Championship reign, claiming that the company didn’t give him the chance to do much of anything after winning the title.
Following a recent onscreen absence, Jacob Fatu made his return to Friday Night SmackDown on September 26, confronting Drew McIntyre and attacking the former WWE Champion with his own walking boot.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on future plans for Jacob Fatu as soon as we hear more.
