Seth Rollins appears to be facing a spell on the sidelines.
On 14 October, Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp reported that Seth Rollins had been seen wearing a sling backstage and while travelling around Australia in recent days. X user @galaxyspee49682 shared a photo with the World Heavyweight Champion in Perth, confirming the report.
PWInsider has now provided an update on Rollins’ injury, revealing that he is believed to have sustained a shoulder injury while executing the coast-to-coast dive on Cody Rhodes, with further tests expected in the coming days.
“The belief is Rollins hurt his left shoulder landing while executing the coast to coast dive towards the upside down Cody Rhodes, who was hanging in the turnbuckles. — We are told he will be undergoing testing in the coming days.”

Rollins defeated WWE Champion Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel: Perth on 11 October to capture the Crown Jewel Championship.
Fightful Select has since offered their own insight into Rollins’ injury, noting that one source claimed a broken arm would likely allow for a quicker return to in-ring action than a serious shoulder injury, with the latter likely to significantly alter creative plans.
“The specific details of the injury were being kept very quiet. One WWE source said individually, not on behalf of the company, that an actual break of the arm would probably end up better than a shoulder injury, because Rollins could be back in December from a break. However, they said it would be unlikely they could avoid a “drastic change” if it was a more serious shoulder injury.”

The 13 October edition of Monday Night RAW ended with Bron Breakker ousting Seth Rollins from The Vision following a blindsiding attack, as Bronson Reed and ‘The Oracle’ Paul Heyman ultimately sided with the former Intercontinental Champion.
Fightful Select also noted that Rollins received considerable praise, not only for completing his match with Rhodes at Crown Jewel: Perth, but also for his performance on Monday Night RAW, which culminated in a physical segment.
“Rollins was credited heavily from over a half dozen sources we spoke to for finishing the match, staying in Australia and working the show. Not just that, but doing a promo, a backstage segment and a physical segment. Though details were foggy, the hope from staff backstage was that because Rollins was cleared for the segment, that the injury might not be as bad as feared.”

With Rollins now seemingly facing a spell on the sidelines, plans for Survivor Series: WarGames on 29 November involving The Vision, as initially reported by Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, now appear unlikely to proceed.
Regarding those plans – which had The Vision teaming with Brock Lesnar and Austin Theory to face CM Punk, Roman Reigns, Jacob Fatu, Jey Uso, and either Jimmy Uso or LA Knight – Fightful Select reported that the idea has largely been dismissed as no longer the intended direction.
The report also corroborated Ibou of SelfMade, revealing that one WWE source claimed Breakker’s split from Rollins had not been planned until next year, suggesting that the attack on RAW represented a heavy creative pivot.
While Breakker held up Rollins’ World Heavyweight Championship following the betrayal, it remains unclear whether the former Vision leader will be forced to vacate the title.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Seth Rollins’ injury status as soon as we hear more, and we wish him all the best in his recovery.
