Seth Rollins was reportedly set to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania.
On the October 13 edition of Monday Night RAW, The Vision’s Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed shockingly turned on Seth Rollins. Shortly after, reports emerged that the World Heavyweight Champion had suffered a shoulder injury during his match with Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel. While it’s currently unclear as to exactly how long Rollins may be sidelined, an update has now emerged on what WWE were lining up for him at the ‘Show Of Shows’.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, it’s believed Seth Rollins was set to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 42, with The Vision storyline ultimately intended to establish Bron Breakker as WWE’s next Roman Reigns.
“Seth Rollins was tentatively scheduled to wrestle Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. I don’t know this, but I have been told enough things to where I expected there to be a turn on Seth Rollins at some point. The whole thing with this faction was not about Seth Rollins, it was about Bron Breakker and making Bron Breakker the next Roman Reigns.”

Reigns and Rollins also shared the ring at this year’s WrestleMania, competing in a triple threat match that included CM Punk. It was during this bout that ‘The Oracle’ Paul Heyman first aligned with the current World Heavyweight Champion, a dynamic that would likely have formed the backbone of their storyline heading into next April’s event.
With all creative plans surrounding Rollins thrown into uncertainty, a reported update described The Vision’s split as a “heavy creative pivot.” You can read more about that here.
Regarding future plans for Roman Reigns, it was recently revealed he’s set for a major role at one of WWE’s biggest Premium Live Events. You can read more about that here.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Seth Rollins’ injury status as soon as we hear more.
