The latest reported plan for War Games has emerged.
In the October 16 edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer Dave Meltzer reported that this year’s men’s WarGames match was originally planned to see The Vision, Brock Lesnar and Austin Theory face CM Punk, Roman Reigns, Jacob Fatu, Jey Uso and an undecided fifth man inside the two-ringed cage. However, with Seth Rollins now sidelined for several months due to a shoulder injury, and Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed having split from the former World Heavyweight Champion, those plans have since been cast into doubt.
In a new update, Dave Meltzer wrote in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the plan for WarGames is still for CM Punk and Roman Reigns to face The Vision as part of their respective teams, rather than being changed to a Wyatt Sicks versus MFTs match.
“Since many have asked, as of press time, the men’s WarGames match was still a Punk & Reigns team against The Vision-led team. Some thought with all the injuries that it would be changed to the Wyatts vs. MFTs since they are clearly doing a multi-person program there as well.”

While Survivor Series is scheduled for November 29, WWE will first stop off in Salt Lake City for Saturday Night’s Main Event, where a new World Heavyweight Champion is set to be crowned. Although initial reports listed them as partners in WarGames, CM Punk and Jey Uso will face off for the vacant title one week from Saturday.
Regarding Bron Breakker’s future following Seth Rollins’ injury, Meltzer reported that WWE has a plan for when and how he should pursue the World Heavyweight Championship. You can read more about that here.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on WWE’s plans for Survivor Series as soon as we hear more.
