
Italy looks set to be the latest international market to land a WWE PLE.
Since coming under the TKO banner, WWE have increased efforts to bring their Premium Live Events to international markets, holding shows across the United Kingdom, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Australia, France, Germany, and Puerto Rico, among other locations.
According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, WWE will bring a Premium Live Event to Italy on May 31 next year, with Backlash currently serving as the internal placeholder for the event’s name.
“As of now, the planned date for the PLE is May 31, which is scheduled to be the first PLE after WrestleMania. Typically, WWE runs the Backlash show after WrestleMania, but the name was up for debate with Backlash used as the internal placeholder.”

While the report notes that a venue has yet to be confirmed, WrestleVotes added that Turin has been discussed internally within WWE, with the Inalpi Arena emerging as a leading contender to serve as the host city.

The news follows WWE President Nick Khan revealing in September that a deal was close to bringing the company to Italy for a Premium Live Event in early 2026
Reports also emerged that month suggesting WWE were discussing the possibility of hosting Premium Live Events in Japan, Spain, and Mexico in the near future, in addition to Italy.
WWE’s last international Premium Live Event took place on October 11 at Crown Jewel: Perth, with their next overseas show scheduled for January 31 next year as the Royal Rumble heads to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
