Very nice, very evil contract news.
Back in June, Fightful Select reported that Danhausen’s AEW contract was set to expire in July. However, a follow-up report in August revealed that the company had extended his deal due to time missed through injury.
Fightful Select are now reporting that, according to AEW sources, Danhausen’s contract with All Elite Wrestling is set to expire in February next year.
“Fightful Select has confirmed that Danhausen’s contract with AEW expires in February of 2026, at least per All Elite Wrestling sources.”

Danhausen has not been used by AEW since his deal was extended, with Fightful noting that he wanted the company to allow his contract to expire in order to gain more freedom to pursue merchandising opportunities and independent bookings.
The report also claims that AEW sources who spoke to Fightful Select say Danhausen has not been backstage for a significant period and has not been factored into any creative plans.
Danhausen last competed for All Elite Wrestling at AEW: Worlds End Zero Hour on December 30, 2023, though he has remained active on the independent scene during his absence.
Dave Meltzer noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter back in August that Danhausen has admirers within WWE, including The Rock, though it remains to be seen whether that will translate into interest in his signature once he becomes a free agent.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Danhausen’s contract status as soon as we hear more.
