Trey Miguel is reportedly no longer under contract with AEW.
On January 14, shortly before AEW Dynamite, it emerged via Fightful Select that Zachary Wentz, Dezmond Xavier, Myron Reed, and Trey Miguel of The Rascalz were all backstage and had signed with the company. However, when the group made their on-screen debut on this past Saturday’s Collision, Miguel was noticeably absent from the lineup, with the 31-year-old taking to his Instagram to announce he’s taking a break from wrestling. Now, an update has emerged on his contract status.
According to a new post from Fightful Select, it’s believed Trey Miguel has been released from his AEW deal.
“On January 18, Rascalz member Trey Miguel posted that he was taking a break from pro wrestling, but still encouraged the audience to support the Rascalz. Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp was able to confirm that Miguel had been released from his AEW contract in the last few days.”

In Miguel’s Instagram story post, he affirmed his support for his teammates in The Rascalz as they begin life in AEW. While Xavier, Wentz, and Reed were featured in a backstage segment on the January 17 episode of Collision, they were later called out by Lio Rush and Action Andretti, so it seems like it won’t be long before they step into the ring for the first time since becoming ‘All Elite’.
Of course, we wish Trey Miguel well and look forward to seeing him return to the ring should he wish to down the line.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Trey Miguel’s AEW departure as soon as we hear more.
