‘The Young OG’ lives to fight another day.

Earlier today, Je’Von Evans faced El Grande Americano on Monday Night RAW in Belfast, Northern Ireland, but the match was cut short after just over six minutes when Evans appeared to suffer an injury.

However, PWInsider Elite now reports that the match was halted over concerns that Evans may have suffered a concussion rather than a general injury, although the former NXT star is believed to have avoided one.

“WWE star Je’Von Evans is said to be OK after his match with El Grande Americano was halted on Raw, PWInsderElite.com is told. We are told that the match was not stopped due to concern over an injury, but worry over a possible concussion. Evans was checked out backstage after the bout and left the show to travel with the roster. We are told it does not appear he suffered a concussion, but we cannot confirm that 100%.”

The report also notes that among WWE officials, the belief is that the referee made the correct decision in stopping the match.

Je’Von Evans officially joined the Monday Night RAW roster on January 5 after a memorable spell in NXT, and with such a bright future ahead, WWE will be hoping this scare proves to be nothing more than a minor setback.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Je’Von Evans’ status as soon as we hear more.
