Rey Mysterio is dealing with a rib issue.
This past Monday night on RAW, Rey Mysterio took on Austin Theory as part of his continued storyline with The Vision. Unfortunately, the Hall Of Famer suffered an injury during the contest, and the referee was even videoed throwing up the infamous ‘X’ sign to indicate that something had gone awry. Now, an update has emerged on Mysterio’s injury status.
According to a new update from PWInsider, it’s believed Rey Mysterio is dealing with a rib issue, although he is believed to have made the trip to Saudi Arabia.
“Rey Mysterio is in Saudi Arabia despite getting banged up on Raw. PWInsider.com is told Mysterio is dealing with a rib issue. There is no word yet on the severity or if it will prevent him from appearing in the Men’s Royal Rumble match on Saturday.”

Mysterio had previously been announced as one of the participants in this Saturday’s Royal Rumble, though whether he’s able to take part appears to be a touch-and-go situation. Still, should he be able to compete, the company would be able to go ahead as planned without making an announcement regarding his injury.
Of course, we’re wishing Rey the best with regard to his injury status ahead of the Royal Rumble.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Rey Mysterio as soon as we hear more.
