Tony Khan would expect Britt Baker to be back in AEW.

On the November 13, 2024, edition of Dynamite, Britt Baker defeated Penelope Ford before being confronted by Serena Deeb. However, we haven’t seen the former AEW Women’s World Champion in the company for over a year, leaving many fans wondering whether Baker is following a similar path to the likes of Rey Fenix and Ricky Starks in disappearing from our screens until they move on from the promotion. However, it seems Tony Khan is optimistic that Britt will be back with AEW.

Speaking on the Battleground Podcast, Khan says he expects Baker to be back in AEW.

“Britt is still somebody very highly regarded and respected here in AEW, so I would expect to see Britt back in AEW. I just don’t want to say when. It’ll be a good thing for everybody when Britt returns and I think it’s gonna be very, very good in terms of AEW right now when you look at how the roster has evolved. There’s more and more fresh matchups and rivalries. Britt’s somebody I would absolutely love to have back in AEW soon.”

-Tony Khan

Back in 2021, Baker was arguably one of the most popular wrestlers on AEW’s roster, having a 290-day reign as Women’s World Champion between May 2021 and March 2022. In the month before her most recent appearance, Baker was featured in a prominent role, taking on Mercedes Moné for the TBS Championship at Wembley Stadium. For now, though, the star’s next All Elite Wrestling remains unknown.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Britt Baker’s AEW status as soon as we hear more.
