‘The Game’ is feeling that heat of Mania Season.

The Road to WrestleMania is officially under way, with the Royal Rumble on January 31 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, booking both Roman Reigns and Liv Morgan into world title matches in Las Vegas. Despite some elements of the final card beginning to take shape, it is clear that WWE is still moving several pieces into place for WrestleMania 42.

During the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed that Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque is currently facing internal criticism over a number of changes to the WrestleMania card amid concerns about attendance.

“There’s been a lot of internal criticism of Paul Levesque, as far as keeping changing the (WrestleMania) plans. Like Vince. But they have a plan, then they change the plan, and everything is up in the air because of the feeling that the attendance advance is down.”

While Liv Morgan has yet to make her WrestleMania intentions clear, Roman Reigns wasted no time in challenging CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship. This was not WWE’s original main event plan, however, with major injuries and creative shifts leading to the current direction. You can read more about that here.

Seth Rollins, whose shoulder injury was one of the key issues that forced significant changes to plans, is reportedly expected to return to action ahead of WrestleMania 42. However, the status of his planned opponent, Bron Breakker, now appears uncertain, with reports indicating he is set to undergo surgery for a hernia.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on plans for WrestleMania 42 and the internal criticism facing Triple H as soon as we hear more.
