GUNTHER discusses wanting to rise to any challenge in WWE.

Ever since he first stepped foot in the company, GUNTHER has gone from strength to strength in WWE. Now a multi-time world champion, the Austrian recently turned his attention to ending the careers of some of the company’s biggest names. Now, with the retirement matches of Goldberg, John Cena, and AJ Styles behind him, GUNTHER has been asked about his next goal in WWE.

Appearing on  What Do You Wanna Talk About?, Cody Rhodes asked GUNTHER if he knows what he wants to achieve next in WWE. However, instead of having a list of achievements to tick off, the 38-year-old said he wants to take on more responsibility and rise to any difficult situation.

“Yeah, but not in the sense of like I never had that list of ‘That’s what I want to achieve, I want to win this’ or whatever. It’s more like, I don’t know, I always kind of want to grow in the responsibility I can take on, if that makes sense. I feel like that’s what kind of drives me, where it’s like, ‘Okay, I’ve mastered this very difficult situation. Okay, now I can master something even more difficult.’ I see it kind of like in that sense. And I guess in our world that automatically means like titles, big matches, and all of that.”

One of the standout performers in WWE today, many fans would consider GUNTHER to be among the best wrestlers in the world. Later in the interview, Rhodes asked ‘The Ring General’ how he feels about those claims.

“See, I don’t think about that. I don’t know. At least one of, It’s hard to say.”

While he didn’t compete at Elimination Chamber, GUNTHER defeated Dragon Lee on this past week’s edition of RAW in a hard-hitting match which saw the former World Heavyweight Champion remove the mask of his opponent to secure a submission win. At present, the star’s path to WrestleMania 42 remains unclear, though it’s safe to say ‘The Career Killer’ isn’t short of enemies after retiring both John Cena and AJ Styles over the last couple of months.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on GUNTHER’s WWE plans as soon as we hear more.
