WWE Reportedly Wanted Bianca Belair To Face Jade Cargill At WrestleMania 42

Bianca Belair was originally planned to take on Jade Cargill for the WWE Women’s Championship in Las Vegas.
Since coming up short to IYO SKY at WrestleMania 41 in a triple threat match for the WWE Women’s Championship that also involved Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair has been out of action after sustaining a finger injury that required surgery.
Dave Meltzer revealed in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Bianca Belair was initially planned to face Jade Cargill at WrestleMania 42, thus indicating plans for her to win either the Royal Rumble or Elimination Chamber matches.
“The original plan for this year’s Mania was to be Cargill defending the women’s title against Belair, meaning Belair was going to win either the Rumble or Chamber.”

Liv Morgan would ultimately win the Royal Rumble to earn a Women’s World Championship match with Stephanie Vaquer at WrestleMania 42, whilst Elimination Chamber winner Rhea Ripley is set to challenge Jade Cargill for the WWE Women’s Championship.
Bianca Belair underwent surgery for her finger injury last month, and whilst it appears as though WrestleMania 42 will come too soon for an in-ring return, Self Made recently reported that Belair is expected to be on the show in some capacity.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Bianca Belair’ injury status as soon as we hear more, and we continue to wish her all the best in her recovery.
