WWE are looking to tie down several AAA stars.

During the WrestleMania 41 Pre-Show on April 19, 2025, WWE announced that they had officially completed the acquisition of Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide. Since bringing AAA under the WWE umbrella, the promotion has featured talent from both WWE and TNA Wrestling, whilst several AAA stars have appeared across WWE programming over the past year.

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE are now looking to sign several of AAA’s featured talents to full-time WWE contracts.

“[WWE] are now working on getting tons more signed and U.S. working visas for them. Basically everyone who is featured on TV to any real degree they are looking at signing.”

Thus far, former AAA Mega Champion El Hijo del Vikingo is the only name from Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide to be under a full-time contract with WWE, though it appears that may be set to change imminently.

WWE 2K26 is set to feature several names from Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide as DLC content, with El Hijo del Vikingo, Flammer, La Parka, Lady Shani, Mr. Iguana, Octagon Jr., Psycho Clown, and Pagano all set to be available as part of the Ringside Pass.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on WWE looking to sign AAA talent to full-time contracts as soon as we hear more.
