CM Punk Reportedly Spearheaded The Idea Of WWE Signing Danhausen

CM Punk pushed for WWE to bring Danhausen into the company.

Following weeks of teases that a mysterious crate would be opened on February 28, Danhausen was officially unveiled to the Chicago crowd at Elimination Chamber to a mixed response, to put it politely.

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Danhausen’s signing was a move pushed for by CM Punk.

Meltzer notes that Danhausen was a vocal supporter of CM Punk during the pair’s time in All Elite Wrestling, even following the former AEW World Champion’s various controversies.

This week’s episode of Monday Night RAW saw Danhausen make a list of demands to General Manager Adam Pearce, including a WWE Hall of Fame induction and one of the famous Triple H pointing photos.

Danhausen would then be introduced to The Judgement Day, leading to the former AEW star cursing Dominik Mysterio, who would go on to lose his WWE Intercontinental Championship to Penta El Zero Miedo later that night.
