Jon Moxley Says There’s Nothing He’s More Proud Of In His Career Than The Death Riders In AEW

Jon Moxley is proud of his work in AEW’s Death Riders.
Back in September 2024, when Jon Moxley took out Bryan Danielson in pursuit of the AEW World Championship, the Blackpool Combat Club morphed into what we know now as the Death Riders. With Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, and PAC still by his side, the likes of Marina Shafir and Daniel Garcia were added to their lineup, and the group was the centrepiece of All Elite Wrestling until Hangman Page’s title victory at All In: Texas. Despite the faction’s receiving mixed reviews during its first few months on Dynamite, Moxley has now opened up on being proud of his work in the group.
Appearing on The Close Up with Renee Paquette, Jon Moxley stated that the Death Riders is what he’s most proud of in his career.
“I don’t think there’s anything I’ve ever done that I’m more proud of in my career than what we’ve built with the Death Riders. ‘Death Riders’ means nothing, it’s just words put together… but to me, it means something now. I don’t think I would be here if not for these people. I don’t know what I’d be doing. I might be in jail by this point if not for this group of people. I still look around to this day and I’m like, ‘I’m surrounded by clowns every day’… I said to myself, ‘This culture, this attitude, this does not represent me. I do not represent it. I’m not gonna get pulled in this direction.’ You can’t change people, but you can build. So I just decided I would build a culture of my own.”

Despite many people expecting Moxley to split from the Death Riders after he lost the AEW World Championship, he remains the faction’s leader today. The 40-year-old is the current reigning Continental Champion, having emerged victorious at Worlds End in December, and is set to defend the gold against Konosuke Takeshita this Sunday at Revolution.
On tonight’s edition of AEW Dynamite, Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli will battle Konosuke Takeshita and Hechicero of the Don Callis Family before this weekend’s pay-per-view. Also on the show, fans can look forward to Kyle Fletcher taking on ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey for the TNT Championship, Persephone challenging Willow Nightingale for the TBS Title and more.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Jon Moxley as soon as we hear more.
