IYO SKY vs. Asuka Reportedly Planned For WrestleMania 42

IYO SKY could be set to face The Kabuki Warriors at WWE’S WrestleMania 42.

With the WrestleMania 42 card starting to take shape with the two-night event just over a month away, several of WWE’s top stars still find themselves without a definitive direction heading into the show, with one name people are hoping to see featured in a major way being IYO SKY.

According to a new report from BodySlam, IYO SKY is expected to reignite her feud with The Kabuki Warriors in the coming weeks, with a match with Asuka currently scheduled for WrestleMania 42.

“Sources indicate to Bodyslam that Iyo Sky is expected to be involved with The Kabuki Warriors once again as we get closer to WrestleMania 42. WWE has intentionally avoided long periods of in-ring action between Asuka and Iyo as that is the match currently scheduled for WrestleMania.”

The report additionally notes that there has been chatter and internal support about the idea of adding Kairi Sane into the mix for a possible triple threat match, with Asuka’s treatment of her partner potentially leading towards a split ahead of the proposed bout.

Meanwhile, IYO SKY’s tag team partner Rhea Ripley now has her sights firmly set on Jade Cargill and the WWE Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 42 after her victory at Elimination Chamber.
