Rey Mysterio has given high praise to his matches with Eddie Guerrero and Kurt Angle in WWE.

Signing with WWE in 2002, Rey Mysterio has over two decades of matches to look back on with the company. The 51-year-old has three world championships to his name and a Royal Rumble win, being one of the most influential wrestlers of his generation. He’s also had his fair share of rivals, including a feud with his son Dominik which saw them meet one on one at WrestleMania 39. Now, Mysterio has commented on which of his matches could deserve to go into the Hall of Fame.

Appearing on Unlikely with Adrian Hernandez, Mysterio mentioned his WrestleMania 21 match with Eddie Guerrero and his SummerSlam match with Kurt Angles as clashes that could rightfully be remembered in the Hall of Fame.

“I’ll tell you what. I’m a big fan of Eddie [Guerrero] and I. WrestleMania 21. WrestleMania Goes Hollywood. And I’m also a big fan of my first pay-per-view with WWE. SummerSlam. Kurt Angle versus Rey Mysterio.”

While the idea of inducting matches into the Hall of Fame is still new, WWE began immortalising iconic bouts at last year’s ceremony. In 2025, Steve Austin’s legendary clash with Bret Hart at WrestleMania 13 was picked in the Immortal Moment category. As yet, it hasn’t been announced whether the company plan to add match to the Hall of Fame this year

As for Mysterio himself, the star is currently sidelined having suffered fractured ribs during a match on RAW back in January. Thankfully, he recently revealed he’s on the up in terms of his recovery. You can read more about that here.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Rey Mysterio as soon as we hear more.
