Jelly Roll reportedly won’t be teaming up with Royce Keys at WWE WrestleMania 42.

Last week, it emerged via Bodyslam that Jelly Roll had been discussed for a possible tag team match alongside Royce Keys at WrestleMania 42. Particularly after the music star clashed with both The Miz and Kit Wilson on the March 13 SmackDown, it appeared as if a two-on-two clash could await the Grammy Award winner at the ‘Show Of Shows’. However, a new update suggests it may not be Royce Keys by his side.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, it’s believed Royce Keys isn’t planned to team with Jelly Roll at WrestleMania.

“I kinda wonder where they’re going with Jelly Roll. It just feels to me they’re gonna build to some gimmick match with Kit Wilson. Maybe a tag with The Miz because The Miz has been involved in the storyline. I had asked about the story because there was a story about Royce Keys, and I was told that it’s not Royce Keys, for whatever that’s worth. I wasn’t actually told that there is a match, but when you look at it, it certainly seems like they’re building it.”

Royce Keys, known to AEW fans as Powerhouse Hobbs, made his debut for WWE during the men’s Royal Rumble. However, the former TNT Champion is yet to feature on either of the company’s weekly shows since switching promotions earlier this year.

As for Jelly Roll, the 41-year-old’s one and only in-ring appearance to date came at SummerSlam 2025. The star teamed with Randy Orton to take on Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul in a match which saw the musician take the pin.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Jelly Roll’s WrestleMania plans as soon as we hear more.
