Ronda Rousey Reportedly Not Signed To AEW

Ronda Rousey hasn’t signed with AEW.
AEW Revolution on March 15 saw Ronda Rousey make a surprise return to professional wrestling as she entered the ring to help Marina Shafir following her match with Toni Storm. The moment led many fans to believe that Rousey was officially “All Elite”. However, it now appears that is not the case.
Fightful Select are now reporting that sources believe Ronda Rousey has not signed with All Elite Wrestling, with her appearance simply coming down to being in the area.
“Everyone we spoke to is of the belief that she isn’t signed to AEW. When asking about the appearance, it was noted that Rousey lives nearby and has a good relationship with AEW owner Tony Khan.”

The report additionally notes that the numbers drawn by Ronda Rousey’s previous Ring of Honor match were also discussed, with AEW sources stating that the former UFC and WWE champion got the desired reaction with her appearance in a heel role, while Rousey herself appeared to have expected a different reception.
Furthermore, sources within TKO Group Holdings and WWE were reportedly unsurprised by Ronda Rousey’s AEW appearance and noted that they expect her to do anything she can to go against WWE, UFC, and TKO at this stage.
That aligns with a previous report from Dave Meltzer in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter, which claimed that Ronda Rousey’s AEW appearance ‘fit into her vendetta against TKO’. You can read more about that here.
Rousey has yet to reappear on All Elite Wrestling television since her appearance at AEW Revolution, with Fightful Select adding that they are yet to hear of any follow-up plans.
Regardless of whether AEW intended to follow up on the angle, it appears that an in ring encounter with Toni Storm is no longer on the cards, with the former AEW Women’s World Champion reportedly out of action for the remainder of 2026 at the very least. You can read more about that here.
Beyond her involvement with All Elite Wrestling, Ronda Rousey is set to make her return to mixed martial arts on May 16, taking on Gina Carano at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles. The bout will be promoted by Most Valuable Promotions and streamed live on Netflix.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on future plans for Ronda Rousey in AEW as soon as we hear more.
